You just got engaged and are beside yourself with excitement - but at the same time, you're a little terrified of the wedding planning process when you begin looking into vendors. It's a lot and I get it. I've been in your shoes (having planned much of my own wedding) and understand that it can be overwhelming.
I can select one of my signature locations here in Maine or we'll find a location that's special to you and make magic together. One thing you'll notice about A LOT of my shots, is that there's a whole lot of very happy people. This is because you see people that have let their guard down. People that have forgot they're being photographed. That's the magic stuff and that's what I do best. Making people comfortable on the other side of my lens is essential to making awesome images. If it's cool with you, I can put on some of your favorite tunes and we can jam.
I will use natural/ambient light to recreate the feel of the moment. And we will meet for golden hour, which will result in the best photos for you. No obtrusive flash. No lugging around equipment and having to set up lighting. We will be in the moment, creating images you and you loved ones will cherish forever.

Engagement Session FAQ
Why Should We Have An Engagement Session?
Because they're a lot of fun! We will get really tight in a very short period of time. So much so that after the first 15 minutes or so, you won't even notice that I have a camera pointed at you.
An engagement session is an absolutely fabulous time to get to know each other - because after we hang, there's no doubt who you want shooting your big day.

Do You Travel and Is There a Fee?
Sessions within 50 miles of my home in Winslow, Maine are free of charge - and my signature locations will be within this radius of my home. Sessions that are greater than 50 miles are priced reasonably, based on the location of your choice.
What Should We Wear?
Dress comfortable, but like if you guys were going out on a fancy date. Or if you're going for a more casual vibe, a pair of your favorite jeans, a t-shirt and bare feet would do. You want your outfit to be comfortable and to be you. Also, accessories are awesome and can add a lot to a photo.
If you are worried about being cold, wear appropriate clothing, no matter how cute the outfit is - if you're uncomfortably cold, it's hard to hide that in photos. Coordinate and compliment each other, but try to avoid busy patterns and being twinsies.
Can We Bring Our Dog?
PLEASE BRING YOUR DOG. BRING ALL THE DOGS.
I am a dog dude and welcome your furry friend at any and every chance possible. Without fail, every time, they add a lot of fun and smiles to a shoot. Woof!
Should I Get Hair and Makeup Professionally Done For Our Session?
It's completely up to you, but it might be a good idea if you are planning on using the images on your wedding invitations. Try and keep a natural look and resemble your everyday self, but definitely get a little fancy if that's your thing.
